The website
This website is designed for two purposes.
Literature: As a literary citizen, Shannon promotes worthy new publications by both established and debut voices, especially (but not limited to) those that dialogue with migration or cross-cultural experiences. (See her book review publications to get a sense of what and how she writes.) Writers, publishers, and publicists may connect with her here, as in addition to assigned reviews, she also considers unsolicited queries.
Immigration Advocacy: The second goal for this website is to provide a space for talking about migration. This includes a list of introductory sources helpful for correcting the false narrative surrounding immigrants in the United States, particularly those at our southern border; as well as sample nonprofits that do beautiful work with vulnerable communities. Feel free to send a message with resource recommendations or nonprofits.
